PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system in which an image is displayed on the same position as the position where a sound is output from the view of a user. SOLUTION: The speaker system is provided with a display panel for displaying an image, a transparent panel provided so that the image displayed on the display panel is viewed through the transparent panel, an electric mechanical acoustic transducer having a diaphragm and outputting a sound by vibrating the diaphragm according to an electric signal, and an acoustic transferring member for transferring the sound output from the transducer to a space formed between the display panel and the transparent panel. The transparent panel is so formed that it can vibrate by the sound transferred to the space from the transducer via the member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
