PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb and remove lights in an undesired wavelength range by a simple constitution of a sub-band transition quantum well type photo sensor. SOLUTION: The photo sensor comprises a photo sensing mechanism having one or more absorption wavelengths and a quantum well-structured light absorption layer 3 added for absorbing lights in a specified wavelength range as a band-cut filter.
