PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder metering machine having the metering accuracy for powders improved by maintaining a gap between powders transferred by a screw conveyor to be nearly constant. SOLUTION: When a stirring rod 3 is rotated by a motor 3a, blades fitted spirally at an outer circumferential part of the stirring rod 3 stirs the powder in a stocker 2. A force in a direction opposite to a transfer direction by the screw conveyor 4 acts to the powder near the stirring rod 3. Therefore, the powder present between the stirring rod 3 and the screw conveyor 4 is efficiently stirred by interaction of a stirring force by the action of the rotation of the stirring rod 3 and a transfer force by the action of the screw conveyor 4. The gap between particles of the powder filled in between screw blades of the screw conveyor 4 is made nearly constant. Accordingly, an amount of the power to be discharged can be accurately adjusted by controlling the number of revolutions of the screw conveyor 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
