PURPOSE: A system for automatically converting/recovering a failure of a CTI(Computer and Telephony Integration) interworking system and a method therefor are provided to install an interworking system monitoring unit, and to change a call distribution structure in order to automatically convert/recover a failure according to an informed result, thereby quickly converting to a failure service when the failure is generated. CONSTITUTION: An interworking system consists of an IVR(Interactive Voice Response) server(210) and a CTI server(220). A CTI interworking system comprises as follows. An interworking system monitoring unit(204) periodically checks a state of one of the interworking systems designated by an operator, and informs of a current state of the interworking system. A failure service controller(205) confirms a service kind reported by the interworking system monitoring unit(204), and controls a system to drive a failure and recovery service. A CTI interworking controller(201) communicates with the failure service controller(205) and the interworking system monitoring unit(204), and performs communication with the CTI server(220) through an LAN.
