<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium where a maintenance guide program for PC peripheral equipment which enables a user to smoothly perform maintenance operation by guidance information easy for the user to understand when the user performs the maintenance operation while judging the state of the PC peripheral equipment is recorded, a maintenance guide device for the PC peripheral equipment, and a maintenance guide method for the PC peripheral equipment. <P>SOLUTION: When a printer 1050 is set up, the state of the printer 1050 such as whether or not an ink cartridge is available and ink charging operation is detected on the side of a PC1010 through a printer driver 73 and a set-up program 1075 judges the progress state of the set-up operation from state changes of the printer 1050 and displays pictures showing an operation procedure in sequence according to the progress state, so the user need not perform the set-up operation while judging the state of the printer 1050 and can smoothly complete the set-up operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
