PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high precision, high-quality leakage waveguide. SOLUTION: The cross section of a conductor 1 of the leakage waveguide is in a flat shape and is made of a smooth wall surface where irregular waves are omitted. Then, a slot 2 at a specified pitch is formed on the wall in the longitudinal direction through laser beam machining. In a method for manufacturing the leakage waveguide, the cross section of a flat copper-laminated strip body 5 is formed a flat. Then, slots are successively formed at a specific pitch in the longitudinal direction on the wall surface through laser beam machining.
