PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for confirming a field shield effect of a functional film without actually operating a cathode-ray tube having conductive tapes for connecting between the functional film and an electrode for grounding. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the cathode-ray tube comprises a step for contacting a first measuring electrode onto a surface of the functional film, a step for connecting a second measuring electrode to the conductive body for grounding which is electrically connected onto the surface of the functional film via a conductive member, and a step for measuring resistance between the first and the second electrodes. After connecting the functional film to a grounding wire with conductive tapes, an electrode plate, whose surface is made of copper foil having an excellent conductivity and is the same size as the effective screen of the cathode-ray tube, is well adhered to the surface of the functional film by pressing with load larger than 23 g/cm<SP>2</SP>.
