PURPOSE: Provided are a thermal resistant biodegradable material using starch which can be degraded when buried and can be dipped in hot water, a method for producing the same and a container using the same. CONSTITUTION: The thermal resistant biodegradable material comprises 50 to 90 wt% of starch powder, 5 to 20 wt% of polyolefin as an adhesive and 5 to 30 wt% of calcium carbonate. The mixture of starch powder, polyolefin and calcium carbonate has a moisture content of about 1%. The starch can be obtained from at least selected from the group consisting of sweet potato, potato, corn, rice, flour and sugar cane. The material is produced by mixing 50 to 90 wt% of starch powder and 5 to 20 wt% of polyolefin; kneading the mixture at a temperature of 110 to 120 deg.C; adding 5 to 30 wt% of calcium carbonate while stirring; cooling the mixture to 35 to 45 deg.C and dehydrating to the water content of about 1%; and forming the dehydrated product into pellets by extrusion at 120 to 210 deg.C. |
