PURPOSE: A method for mixing and charging ore and nut coke is provided to improve air-permeability of reduced gas flow inside blast furnace by charging a mixture of the nut coke and ore into the blast furnace after mixing nut coke with ore in the blast furnace operation for manufacturing hot metal. CONSTITUTION: In a method for charging a mixture of nut coke and ore into blast furnace(8) comprising a blast furnace charging apparatus comprising an ore hopper(10) for storing ore(1), a nut coke hopper(20) installed side by side with the ore hopper to store nut coke(2), belt conveyors(31,32) installed at least in two stages in the lower part of the ore hopper and nut coke hopper, a surge hopper(4) for storing a mixture of ore and nut coke transferred by the belt conveyors, second belt conveyor(5) for transporting the mixture of ore and nut coke discharged from the surge hopper, a top bunker(6) for storing the mixture transported by the second belt conveyor, and a charging chute(7) installed at the lower part of the top bunker to guide the mixture into the blast furnace so that the mixture and coke are alternately charged into the blast furnace, the method for mixing and charging ore and nut coke is characterized in that the nut coke is discharged from the nut coke hopper within a time corresponding to 10% of the total ore discharging time after 50 wt.% of ore out of the total ore charging quantity is discharged from the ore hopper so that the nut coke is injected into a space that is within 15% of radius from dead man in an injection quantity of 4 wt.% or less of the ore after charging the mixture into the blast furnace.
