PURPOSE: A PVC(Permanent Virtual Connection) restoring method by an ILMI(Integrated Local Management Interface) protocol is provided to restore a PVC connection by registering an address and constructing an MIB(Management Information Base) in a local interface by using an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol), and exchanging/negotiating information. CONSTITUTION: When one exchange transmits a request message(GetRequest) requesting state information, connection information or address information on an ILMI protocol, to the other exchange, the other exchange transmits a response message(GetResponse) to one exchange. When one exchange transmit a request message(GetRequest) added with a configuration requesting state information, connection information or address information on an ILMI protocol, to the other exchange, the other exchange transmits a response message(GetResponse) including an MIB having AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVPI, AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVCI and AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCBandWidthto one exchange. When one exchange transmit a request message(GetRequest) requesting periodically checking(Attachment Point) of state information, connection information or address information on an ILMI protocol, to the other exchange, the other exchange transmits a response message(GetResponse) including an MIB having AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVPI, AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVCI and AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCBandWidth to one exchange. When one exchange transmit a request message(GetRequest) requesting periodically checking(Attachment Point) of state information, connection information or address information on an ILMI protocol, to the other exchange, the other exchange transmits a response message(GetResponse) including an MIB having DeleteatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVPI, DeleteatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCVCI and AddatmAtmLayerConfiguredVCCBandWidth to one exchange.
