<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED illumination device which brings more uniform luminous intensity distribution characteristics as much as possible with respect to a face to be irradiated. <P>SOLUTION: In the LED illumination device, a substrate 3 is stored and fixed in a groove 1 of a resin-formed ring-like outer shell 2 having the ring-like groove 1 being an opening toward a lower face, and multiple light emitting diodes are mounted and arranged downward on the substrate 3. The light emitting diodes 4 having unipolar directional characteristics and light emitting diodes 5 having bipolar directional characteristics are mixed as the mounted light emitting diodes, and the intensity distribution characteristics are made more uniform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
