<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM exchange and an ATM exchange network with high reliability in an economical configuration having a signal processing function for the ATM exchange network suitable for a configuration of a small scale exchange network being a combination of small sized exchanges and communication equipment and to easily perform backup of a signal processing or load distribution. <P>SOLUTION: In the ATM exchange network, arrangement is performed so as to share a signal processor by a plurality of the ATM exchanges. To put it concretely, a virtual ATM-PBX, for which a plurality of ATM-HUBs respectively housing a plurality of ATM terminals without the signal processor or a processor or the like and an external call controller or an ATM-PBX performing the signal processing and call control with the signal processor and the processor, etc., are combined, is constituted and the ATM exchange and the ATM exchange network performing communication between the ATM- HUB and the ATM terminal, of the ATM-HUBs with each other or of the ATM terminals with each other are realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
