<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the image quality of a reproduced image on a monitor television receiver or the like which suppresses error propagation and sequentially processes data. <P>SOLUTION: A recording side attaches address data to encoded data and records the resulting data, and an error correction circuit 93 of a reproducing side detects an error of reproduced data and outputs an address of an error block to a zero data generating control circuit 86. A switch 88 receives zero data with an error flag attached thereto and data length adjustment bits from a switch 87 and an output of the error correction circuit 93 delayed by a delay circuit 85, is controlled by the zero data generating control circuit 86 to output zero data in place of the error block when the output of the delay circuit 85 is the error block and outputs the adjustment bits to make an output data rate constant. Thus, even when reproduction data are discontinuous, the image quality of a reproduced image displayed on the monitor television receiver or the like can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
