PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the output level of a terminal B cannot be changed arbitrarily after manufacturing since the width of main and sub waveguides is fixed and the output level from the terminal B is fixed if the conventional MIC coupler is once manufactured. SOLUTION: The MIC coupler comprises a ferrite substrate 1 with ferrite as a substrate material, a coupler pattern 2 where the strip line of the main and sub waveguides 3 and 4 in parallel withλg/4 length is printed on the surface of the ferrite substrate 1, terminals A-D having a coupler pattern 2, and an electromagnet 6 that is arranged on the ferrite substrate 1. When a current is made to flow to the electromagnet 6, a DC magnetic field is applied to the ferrite substrate to generate an electron spin phenomenon, and the electromagnetic field distribution of the coupler pattern printed on the ferrite substrate is changed, thus changing the output level of the output terminal B.
