PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke capable of providing a high quality image performance having an inexpensive saturable reactor unit which has a simple structure and exhibits small electric power loss in order to solve problems of a conventional saturable reactor unit for compensation of strain of right-left pincushions at a middle part of a right-left direction of a screen including being expensive because the number of parts is large and exhibiting large electric power loss because many horizontal side auxiliary coils are used. SOLUTION: The saturable reactor unit consists of two horizontal side auxiliary coils 10a, 10b, a vertical side auxiliary coil 8a, 8b and a permanent magnet 11 which are arranged so that two horizontal side auxiliary coils 10a, 10b placed in a line are sandwiched by the permanent magnet 11 and the vertical side auxiliary coil 8a, 8b. The current running through the vertical side auxiliary coil 8a, 8b is rectified by a diode circuit for generating a direct current magnetic field. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
