PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker capable of making a body in the width direction compact. SOLUTION: The body 1 is composed of first and second side cases 1A, 1B, houses a quick connection terminal comprising locking springs 13A, 13B and terminal plates 11, 11 on the inside at one end, and has blade receiving spring parts 78, 81 at the other end, and fixed contacts 2A, 2B and moving contacts 3A, 3B opening and closing an electric circuit between blade receiving spring parts 78, 81 having the same polarity and the quick connection terminal, and an opening and closing mechanism 5 are installed on the inside, and an operation part 6a of a handle 6 is exposed from one surface in the direction perpendicularly crossing to the length direction. Electric wire insertion holes 16A, 16B are installed in a middle case 7 interposed between the first and second side cases 1A, 1B and on end surfaces between the first and second side cases 1A, 1B on the other side of the body 1, and the quick connection terminal is arranged in the middle case and between the side cases 1A, 1B.
