PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized planing boat achieving compactness of an engine structure. SOLUTION: In this small-sized planing boat, a dry sump type lubricating method is used, an engine 5 comprising cylinders provided in parallel along an advancing direction of a hull is mounted, and oil pumps 31 and 32 are driven using output of a crank shaft 17 disposed inside a crank case 13 of the engine 5. A drive gear 20 is detachably provided on an end part of the crank shaft 17. The drive gear 20 is disposed in a space formed of an opening part 28 formed in the crank case 17 and a case cover 29 closing the opening part 28. Rotation of the crank shaft 17 is speed-reduced through the drive gear 20 to be transmitted to the oil pumps 31 and 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
