PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a reflective liquid crystal display device with an extremely small quantity of a development residue in forming a red coloring layer and a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The color filter for the reflective liquid crystal display device characterized by being provided with the red coloring layer containing C.I. Pigment Red 254 or C.I. Pigment Red 209 and the method for manufacturing the same are provided.
