<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of strain clamps for drain wires 20S and facilitate the looseness adjustment of the drain wires, in a corona noise suppressing apparatus of attaching a plurality of short drain wires 20S in one span under a space between two conductors 10c, 10d of multiconductor transmission lines on the ground side. <P>SOLUTION: A drain wire unit 54 is constituted of the short drain wires 20S each shorter than a half of one span, terminal spacers 56 which are mounted on both sides of the short drain wire through an insulator 22 and clamps the two conductors 10c, 10d on the ground side, and middle spacers 58 for clamping the middle sections of the short drain wires 20S and the two conductors 10c, 10d.
