<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote supervisory and control system utilizing a simplified portable telephone system in which the operation of the system can be economically and frequently checked. <P>SOLUTION: By utilizing the simplified portable telephone system in which a system control signal is returned constant by utilizing a control channel, the system check is executed on an electric display panel 60 on a side to be controlled (step 220) and when any abnormality is recognized, the response of the abnormal system control signal can be performed (step 226).
