PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make changeable the system configuration of a sample treating function without changing the arrangement state of a plurality of analytical units in a sample analysis system. SOLUTION: In this sample analysis system wherein the plurality of analysis units 3A-3G are arranged along a conveyance line 20, system setting is performed prior to analytical operation. Namely, setting of the analysis units for determining the reagent supply type of the units and the number of the units to be combined, as the plurality of analysis units to be used, designation of an analysis route for determining which of a stationary analysis route and automatic-type one is to be used, and setting of analysis items to each analysis unit for determining allocation of each analysis item to the analysis units of each reagent supply type are performed through observation of setting screens displayed on a screen display device 43, and such set contents are stored and registered in a storage part 45 in a control part.
