PURPOSE: An evaporator-heating device of an air conditioner system and the control method are provided to prevent a bad smell from coming into the room in operating an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner system comprises a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator(4). An evaporator-heating device of the air conditioner system has a PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) element(10) installed on a side of the evaporator. The PTC element is installed to the lower side of the evaporator. An evaporator-heating control method of the air conditioner system comprises steps of deciding whether an ignition switch is on; deciding whether an air conditioner is on; deciding whether the air conditioner is on for predetermined time; deciding whether predetermined time has passed since the ignition switch is off; deciding power of a battery(23) is proper after passage of the predetermined time; and operating the PTC element. Thus, water drops on the evaporator are simply removed. Accordingly, a bad smell is prevented from coming in the room in operating the air conditioner.
