PURPOSE: To provide a display device wherein the distance between a pair of substrates of the display device can be fixedly set and the lowering of display quality can be prevented. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of the display device includes a stage (a) for acquiring insulating granular spacers by optical tweezers using the acquiring force of a laser flux, a stage (b) for disposing the insulating granular spacers acquired by the optical tweezers on prescribed positions of one of a pair of the substrates for the display device and a stage (c) for superposing a pair of the substrates on each other via the insulating granular spacers.
