METHOD FOR RUMEN FIXATION AT RUMENOTOMY IN CATTLE

FIELD: veterinary surgery. SUBSTANCE: after removing rumen wall into lumen of laparotomic wound, one should puncture openings of about 1.5 cm length with a scalpel in both superior and inferior parts of supposed incision to install ebonite polished rods with fixed bandages. Then bandages should be applied onto opposite side and tightened till complete spreading of rumen wall and ligated with surgical knot. The suggested method provides reliable rumen fixation and prevents trauma of its mucous membrane. EFFECT: higher efficiency of rumen fixation.
