PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film solar cell which solves the conventional problem that a short-circuit current drops due to the irregularities of the structure of a semiconductor junction and improves optical confining efficiency.
SOLUTION: The solar cell has a transparent substrate, a first transparent conductive film, a semiconductor multilayer film having at least one semiconductor junction, a second transparent conductive film, and a metal film laminated one above another. The interface between the second transparent conductive film and the metal film and that between the semiconductor multilayer film and the second transparent conductive film have irregularities. The mean height of the irregularities of the interface between the second transparent conductive film and the metal film is not lower than that of the interface between the semiconductor multilayer film and the second transparent conductive film.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
|
