PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device using an electrodeless discharge lamp capable of reducing leakage of electromagnetic waves and of providing light emission excellent in outside extraction efficiency. SOLUTION: This light source system comprises: a conductor case 3 having an opening 3b; a resonator 6 located in the conductor case 3, having a tip directed to the opening 3b, and having the other end fixed to the other-side face of the conductor case 3; a discharge lamp 5 mounted at the tip of the resonator 6; an ellipsoid mirror 4 installed in the opening 3b, having an opening 4a for inserting the tip of the resonator 6, reflecting a discharge light emission from the discharge lamp 5, having a first focal point at a position for disposing the discharge lamp 5 and having a second focal point at a predetermined position in the discharge light emission direction; a support base 7 mounted on the bottom face of the conductor case 3; a line 9 formed on the support base 7 surface; and a power source 16 for supplying microwaves to the line 9.
