PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen gas treatment device for a nickel-hydrogen battery capable of rapidly charging the nickel-hydrogen battery without causing lowering of performance. SOLUTION: A hydrogen gas storage tank 4 is connected to a plurality of nickel-hydrogen batteries 2 (2a-2e) through a supply/discharge pipe 5 and control valves 3 (3a-3e). The control valve 3 is opened when the pressure at the inside of a battery case of the nickel-hydrogen battery 2 becomes higher than a first prescribed pressure, and the hydrogen gas exhausted from the nickel-hydrogen battery 2 is collected back to the hydrogen gas storage tank 4 through the supply/discharge pipe 5, and also opened when the pressure at the inside of a battery case of the nickel-hydrogen battery 2 becomes lower than a second prescribed pressure, and the hydrogen gas stored in the hydrogen gas storage tank 4 is supplied to the nickel-hydrogen battery 2.
