PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a multi-directional input unit, capable of simplifying electrical wiring in the unit and miniaturizing the unit. SOLUTION: This multi-directional input unit is equipped with a X-directional sliding member 9 and a Y-directional sliding member 10 driven by an operating member 15 movable in the directions of an X-axis and a Y-axis, a linking member 12 to movably link the two sliding members by crossing them, and a sheet switch member 3 to send out a signal by pressing of the operating member 15. The sheet switch member 3 is disposed at the lower surface side of the X-directional sliding member 9 and the Y-directional sliding member 10 by making it correspond to the moving range of the linking member 12, the operating member 15 is supported by the linking member 12 so that it can ascend and descend, and the sheet switch member 3 is made drivable by pressing the operating member 15.
