PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium writing control method, a recording medium writing control apparatus, a recording medium, and a program recording medium that can properly and simply prevent carelessly data from being written to a writable/readable recording medium. SOLUTION: A computer 1 writes write inhibit information 11 denoting inhibition of data write to a recording medium 10 to the recording medium 10 as data in the case of controlling writing of the data to the data writable/readable recording medium 10 and controls the data write to the recording medium 10 depending on whether or not the write inhibit information 11 is written on the recording medium 10. Thus, writing the write inhibit information 11 to the removable recording medium 10 used for the computer 1 as data can control data write/erasure so as to surely and easily inhibit careless appending and writing, thereby properly and surely protect the data stored in the recording medium 10.
