PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-up/step-down switching regulator circuit which can easily switch its switching operation between a step-up operation and a step-down operation regardless of an input voltage and an output voltage. SOLUTION: The output of one error-amplifying circuit is compared with a step-up triangular wave and a step-down triangular wave, which have different voltage levels and are synchronized to each other, by respective comparison circuits for switching an operation between a step-up operation and a step-down operation.
