PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction surface-mount oscillator which uses the mounting area effectively by improving the heat-resistance of the connection of a crystal oscillator and a mounting board. SOLUTION: The surface-mount crystal oscillator is composed of a crystal oscillator which includes a hermetically sealed crystal piece having crystal terminals at the bottom, crystal connection terminals connected to the crystal terminals, and a board for mounting circuit elements forming an oscillator circuit. The mounting board is like a flat plate with independent couplers inserted between the crystal terminals of the oscillator and the crystal connection terminals of the mounting board. The crystal terminals of the oscillator, the crystal connection terminals of the mounting board and the couplers are bonded with a connecting means having heat-resistant strength higher than the melting point of the cream solder.
