PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic shield for television Braun tube capable of reproducing a normal distortion-free image by removing distortion of an electron beam caused by the shape and material of the magnetic shield. SOLUTION: In the magnetic shield for television Braun tube for shielding a television Braun tube from external magnetic fields, the thickness or relative permeability of a steel plate at a narrow part is smaller than that at a wide part, or the thickness or relative permeability of a steel plate at a V-shaped part including the electron gun side corner is larger than that at a wide part.
