Resistors R1 and R2 are in parallel with inductor T1. Resistors R3 and R4 ar e in parallel with inductor T2. The inductors T1 and T2 constitute the series legs of low-pass filter (205), and the capacitors C1 and C2 form the shunt legs. POTS splitters (101) making use of such filters can facilitate impedan ce matching of line and load termination in a telecommunications system (100) i n response to signals within the frequencies of typical analog telephony servi ce.
