APPARATUS FOR STORING THICKNESS AND WIDTH DATA OF COIL AND METHOD FOR DIVIDING COIL BY USING STORED DATA

PURPOSE: An apparatus for storing thickness and width data of a coil and a method for dividing a coil by using stored data are provided to detect fault parts of the coil by transmitting thickness and width data of the coil to a process computer. CONSTITUTION: Thickness and a width of a coil(110) released from an uncoiler(100) are measured by a first thickness measuring device and a first width measuring device, which are positioned at an inlet side of the coil(110), thereby detecting a fault part of the coil(110). Then, real thickness and width of the coil(110) are measured by a second thickness measuring device and a second width measuring device, which are positioned at an outlet side of the coil(110). A division position of the coil(110) is indicated by an indicator. A storage section is provided to store thickness and width data of the coil(110) measured by the first thickness measuring device and the first width measuring device. An article result storage section is connected to the indicator.
