<p>It is intended to provide a method of analyzing gene expression, a novel use of a receptor protein, etc. More specifically speaking, a method of analyzing gene expression characterized by comprising qualitatively analyzing the individual expression doses of a plural number of genes and thus identifying a gene showing characteristic promotion or inhibition in its expression in specific cells or tissue; a quantification kit to be used in this method; and so on. Moreover, a method of screening a compound or its salt capable of changing the binding properties of a receptor protein, which is a novel G protein-coupled receptor protein having an amino acid sequence being identical or substantially identical with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:9, or its salt to ligands characterized by using the above protein or its salt and a protein (for example, a lectin) showing an affinity for a sugar chain which is one of the ligands is provided.</p> |
