PURPOSE: A method for operating and translating an SCCP(Signaling Connection Control Part) global title is provided to translate a global title, in a global title translation type decided according to whether a local global title is defined and whether CCs(Country Codes) and NCs(Network Codes) between the global title to be translated and the local global title are coincident with each other, thereby supporting global roaming and fast translating the SCCP global title. CONSTITUTION: If transfer of a signal message is requested, whether to route the signal message according to an SSN(Sub-System Number) or a global tile is decided(S10,S12). If routing according to the SSN is decided, a signal message routing function is provided according to the SSN(S14) and the step S10 is returned to wait a new signal message transfer request. If routing according to the global title is decided, whether a local global title is defined in the signal message is decided(S16). If not, a general global title translation function is provided(S18), and whether translation of the global title is successful is decided(S30). If successful, signal message routing is performed(S32), and if unsuccessful, the signal message is discarded(S34) and the step S10 is returned to wait a new signal message transfer request. If defined in the step S16, whether CCs between the local global title and the translated global title are coincident with each other is decided(S20). If not, CC global title translation is performed(S22) and the step S30 is progressed. If coincident in the step S20, whether NCs between the local global title and the translated global title are coincident with each other is decided(S24). If not, NC global title translation is performed(S26) and the step S30 is progressed. If coincident in the step S24, MSIN(Mobile Subscriber Identification Number) global title translation is performed(S28) and the step S30 is progressed.
