<p>The invention relates to specific mammary retractors for the insertion of implants in augmentation mammoplasty. Each of said retractors is hollow along the entire length thereof (figure 4) so as to create a completely continuous space between the two grooves disposed at the ends thereof (figure 1; 1 and 2). In this way, there are no pressure gradients between the retroglandular region and the exterior when the implant is inserted. The lower part of the convex face of the retractor is grooved transversely with bevel cuts (figure 1; 3 and figure 8) which ensure that the implant can slide easily but cannot move upwards. The upper horizontal segment of said retractor (figure 3; 1) is disposed in the opposite direction to the lower horizontal segment thereof (figure 3; 5) so that it can be held more securely by the assistant. The distal end of the inventive device is provided with two flanges (figure 2; 6 and 7) which are used to protect the lower groove of same (figures 1 and 2; 2) and to prevent said groove from being stopped up by the mammary tissue.</p> |
