<p>Disclosed are apparatus for delivery of a gaS (10), e.g., carbon dioxide and/or chlorine dioxide, and methods of its use and manufacture. The apparatus includes a vessel (20) defining a reaction volume, the vessel including a sachet layer (50) disposed about an aperture (30) defined by the vessel, and a puncturable surface (40). The vessel contains one or more reactants (60) that generate a gas in the presence of an initiating agent, e.g., water. The apparatus can include a second vessel (220) formed to engage the puncturable surface to deliver initiating agent and/or a second reactant to the vessel (20).</p> |
