<p>A method of deionizing a solution obtained by the decomposition of a polyester with ethylene glycol. The solution is inhibited from suffering transesterification and hydrolysis. The decrease in yield, decrease in purity, etc. are diminished. The solution obtained by the decomposition is contacted with a cation exchanger at a temperature of 100°C or lower for a residence time of 5 to 60 minutes and then contacted with an anion exchanger within 30 minutes.</p> |
