An aromatics flow (2) is surrounded by a gas flow (3), or vice versa. The gas flows at a higher speed than the aroma material, at a larger volume, and in the same direction. When the aroma falls below a defined concentration, this is compensated for by a regulator unit (12) via adjustable flow regulators or similar. The shortfall is indicated visually and/or acoustically via a warning device (16). The dispenser has a nozzle (1) with aperture, which is surrounded by a flow channel (1.2) and connected to an aroma store (7) via a feeder (8). The gas flow is adjusted by turning a moveable diaphragm relative to a fixed one.
