PURPOSE: Provided are a method for manufacturing functional rice, functional rice manufactured thereby and a food composition containing the functional rice. The food composition contains the powder or extract of the functional rice. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing functional rice is characterized by inoculating Sarassis crispa into rice and culturing it; extracting the mycelium of the cultured Sarassis crispa; coating rice with the extract to give the components of the cultured Sarassis crispa; and drying the rice.
