PURPOSE: A method and system for a singing room capable of video chatting are provided to enable many participants to perform a video chatting using a web camera, transmit, and receive a video and voice interactively in a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(110) receives a video chatting and a singing room service through an Internet network or a wireless network connection. A server computer(120) authenticates member information of a user who is connected using the user terminal(110), supplies authenticated information to a video chatting singing room, and stores a sound with respect to at least one song. The server computer(120) transmits the song to the user terminal(110) in real time, compresses a sound requested during a transmitting process as a high-quality sound, and transmits the sound to each user terminal(110) of other participants. The server computer(120) is connected to the user terminal(110) of other participants for a chatting through a network, and connects a video and sound signal among the participants.
