PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing swarf in steel sheet degreasing facility is provided to prevent clogging of alkali pumping line due to foreign materials by separating swarf and other foreign materials flown into alkali tank along with strip from alkali solution. CONSTITUTION: In a degreasing facility(10) comprising an alkali tank for spraying an alkali solution onto strip(1), and a cleaning tank(13) installed next to the alkali tank to clean the strip, the apparatus for removing swarf in steel sheet degreasing facility comprising an intermediate tank which is installed between the alkali tank and cleaning tank, and in which second spray nozzle is installed to spray the alkali solution onto the strip; an alkali solution recovery part(50) comprising a filtering filter installed at the bottom part of the intermediate tank(30) to selectively permeate the alkali solution through the filtering filter, and a return line(53) for connecting the filtering filter and drain tank(18) to supply the alkali solution passing through the filtering filter into the drain tank; and a swarf removal part(40) comprising an auger screw installed at the upper part of the filtering filter and rotated by a motor to collect swarf and other foreign materials that do not pass through the filtering filter into one spot, and a drain line(17) connected to the auger screw to discharge the foreign materials into a sludge box(45) so that swarf and other foreign materials are removed from the alkali solution.
