The device (1) is for altering the control times of gas exchange valves in an internal combustion engine, particularly for hydraulic rotary angle adjustment of a camshaft (3) in relation to a crankshaft. It comprises a drive unit (4) connected to the crankshaft and a driven unit (9) non-rotatably connected with the camshaft. The driven unit is fixed by the tension force of a central fixture screw (13) with its side surface (16) facing the camshaft axially and in a peripheral direction to the face side (15) of the drive side end (2) of the camshaft. The drive unit is rotatably located on the driven unit and remains in power transmission via at least two hydraulic pressure chambers within the device.
