Said machine comprises a machine frame (1), in which a motor shaft (4) is rotatably mounted, in addition to a drum (2) that is fixed to the motor shaft (4) and a die that can be fixed in a substantially tangential manner in relation to the drum (2). The invention is characterised in that the motor shaft (4) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a motor shaft of an electric motor that operates according to linear motor principles, the rotor (5) of said motor being fixed to the motor shaft (4) and its stator (6) being connected to the machine frame (1).
