The sunshade has a frame (10) with cover and a stand (40) with pairs of four legs located in a V-shape, and a pivot shaft (20) for the frame. Each leg pair consists of one piece, the pairs are held relatively pivoted at the end of the pivot shaft and held in place by locking devices (30,30'). Each device has a leaf spring located at the ends of the shafts, to lock the extended legs between a bendable part of the leaf spring and cross struts (11) of the frame. The legs are of metal bars, at least one is pivoted, and all legs are fastened to a tray-shaped foot. The frame is of mainly rectangular shape and can be tilted. Legs, frame struts, and pivot shaft are of solid material, pref. stainless steel.
