A separating and cover apparatus for vehicles, especially for combination-passenger vehicles or similar has open and shut positions and consists of a flexible material sheet (W) and transversely extending inner (QI) and outer free (QA) edges separated by both lengthwise edges of the material sheet (W). The cover is fastened at least at the vehicle end QA and is elastically extensible at least in a the long middle axis direction i.e. along the central axis (L). The cover is biased in the length direction (L) to reduce sagging.
