The foot protector has a form-stable elastic core (2) enclosed on all sides by a webbing (3), to form a jacket (5), which is open at both ends (6). The webbing is of stocking material consisting of natural and/or artificial fibers. The core is of synthetic foam and has a thickness of 1mm to 10mm, pref. 5,2mm. The cylindrical jacket has a diameter of between 5cm and 15cm, esp. 7,7cm. The elasticity between unworn and worn condition is between +20% and +40%. The protector is held in place by the shoe.
