The chisel arrangement for a coal mining plane has a chisel (1) with its plate-shaped shaft (2) securable in the pocket (11) of a chisel holder (10) by means of an elastically deformable plastic pin. The rear surface (12') of a rib wall (12) limiting the pocket in the cutting direction, the rotary cam (17) and the opening (18) for the insertion of the clamp part is formed between the rib wall and the base of the pocket (13) and forms the free space for pivoting a bolt extension (7) when installing and dismantling the chisel. To secure the chisel, the clamp part (30) engages in the installation and securing state the bolt extension and the chisel shaft locates at least on the rear side of the chisel pocket with an extension (6) on the base of the pocket.
