PURPOSE: A voice mail service method using active DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) is provided to transceive an emergency message through a voice mail between service users, by using an active DSRC and voice mail server. CONSTITUTION: A mail is transmitted to a DSRC voice mail server for an OBE(On Board Equipment) ID as a destination from the Internet, a mobile phone or a general phone(501). The DSRC voice mail server decides whether the received mail is made of texts or a voice file(502,503). If in texts, the DSRC voice mail server converts the texts into a voice file and stores the converted file in a memory(504), and if in a voice file, the DSRC voice mail server stores the voice file in the memory intactly. The OBE moves into a radio communication area with an RSE(Road Side Equipment), to perform a communication initialization process(505). If the OBE requests voice mail reception to the RSE by using the OBE ID through a voice recognition function(506), the RSE delivers details of the request to the DSRC voice mail server(507). The DSRC voice mail server searches a voice mail list related to the OBE ID, to transmit a voice mail to the current RSE and next RSEs in all directions(508). The RSEs transmit the DSRC voice mail to the OBE(509), and checks whether the voice mail is successfully received to the OBE(510). If not, the next RSE transmits the voice mail to the OBE(511), and if successfully received, the OBE stores the voice mail in the memory and confirms the voice mail through a voice output function(512).
